There are currently two circular lines: the well-known and well-established Line 16 and the more central Historical Line 7 that has been in service since 2011. The Line 16 arises from the ancient "Line of the boulevards", once managed by the private company called "Belga" and which, on its way around the historic city centre, crosses all the other lines. However, in the past, there were other circular lines also with strange "P shaped" and "tie shaped" routes, as well as a tourist line. These are tramlines that have now faded also from the memory of the elderly inhabitants of Turin: the book entirely reconstructs their history from the very beginning up to today, placing it in the history of the city and of the development of its urban transport network. An entire chronology of the route and operational changes brought to the circular lines, along with a series of maps of the lines at various times, complete the work.
